Initially, I wanted to film the production within a casino in order to reflect the realism and atmosphere of gambling. I firstly contacted Genting Casino in hope that I would be able to use their casino for the setting of my short Docudrama. Due to security reasons, they declined my proposal, only allowing me to film the exterior of the building, however, I wanted the interior. I also contacted the other two casinos within Southend, however, they also agreed with Genting and declined my proposal.

I then had to divert to a second plan. I believed it would be stylistic and effective if I created the setting myself with relevant props and equipment. With the focus on online gambling, I wanted to create an online casino in order to show my target audience the negative consequences of online gambling. I contacted Genting casino again in hope that I would be able to hire one of their roulette tables for the shooting process, however, they did not respond. I did, however, contact a roulette hire place who offered my the roulette table for a total of £330 including delivery charge, for 48 hours. Although this is relatively expensive, I will continue to look for a cheaper quote, however, I now know that I can build the set instead of using an existing one.
