ABOUT THE PROJECT
Red or Black is a short docufiction film that is based upon the addiction of gambling and specifically the accessibility of online gambling. An eight to ten-minute short film will be divided into two halves in order to address the core problems of gambling and ultimately create the necessary awareness.

Qualitative and quantitative research has been conducted in order to address an audience of 18-35-year-olds and categorically, focused upon the male gender. In order to create a realistic portrayal of the addiction, it will be essential to acquire industry experts as well as individuals who have been heavily committed to gambling.

The short film will explore the psychology behind the addiction, and determine the true rationale as to why people feel the need to gamble. Additionally, real-life examples of gambling will enhance the truth and symbolise a genuine depiction of the addiction. Nevertheless, the focus will remain on the online aspects of gambling and how easily gamblers are exposed to the accessibility of the addiction without any restrictions.
TEST FOOTAGE
This video of test footage features a collection of cinematographical shots that I would like to incorporate during the final cut of the short film. This experimental process is necessary in order to improve the overall aesthetic and composition of the final major project.
