I wanted to incorporate my brand image and name within the logo and ident, however, I wanted to create this in a stylistic way. With my knowledge of After Effects, I was able to develop the ident using a variety of effects such as 'Pixel Poly', 'Particle World' and the'Noise & Grain' effects. I started by applying the Pixel Poly effect during the process of creating Ident 2. I applied this to the term 'Productions' as the bullet points drop from the production name and subsequently fall on the term productions. I believed this was too fast and was not effective when sharing my brand image.

I then decided to incorporate the effects, Particles, as well as the Noise & Grain where I created a smoke effect behind the production name. Ident 3 shows all three of these effects. I conducted peer review on the third ident I created in order to further improve the moving image. During this process, many peers believed that the ident "looks too busy and there is too much going on". I acknowledged this advice and also agreed that there were too many components and effects. I decided to decrease the number of effects and remove the particles and pixel poly effect, leaving the smoke. I believed the smoke was the most aesthetically pleasing component of the ident. I applied several effects to the text so that when the smoke enters the screen, the text fades out with the smoke. The final ident is shown at the beginning of this document. I confidently believe that the final ident is more stylistic and addresses a stronger brand image for my production company.
